3. Configuring Bitmain Antminer E9 Server

Setting up the Pool

To configure the server:

  1. As shown below, click Settings.
E9 Server Manual

Note: Although the percentage of the fan speed can be changed, we suggest leaving it at the default value. In the event that the fan speed percentage has not yet been chosen, the server will adjust the fan speed automatically.

  1. Set the options according to the following table:
OptionDescription
Mining addressGive the location of the pool you want to use.
Note: The first pool (pool 1) has a higher priority than the third pool (pool 3), which can be configured on the E9 servers. Only in the event that all pools with higher priority are unavailable will the lower priority pools be used.
NameYour worker ID for the chosen pool.
Password (optional)The chosen employee’s password.
  1. Following configuration, click Save.

4. Monitoring Bitmain Antminer E9 Server

To check the operating status of your server:

  1. To check the server status, click the dashboard icon below.
E9 Server Manual

Note: The 450 MHz frequency of the E9 server is fixed. Firmware will stop running when the Temp (Outlet) reaches to 80℃,there will be an error message “over max temp, pcb temp (real-time temp)” shown on the bottom of kernel log page. Meanwhile, the server temperature on the dashboard interface turns to abnormal and shows “Temp is too high”.

  1. Monitor your server according to the descriptions in the following table:
OptionDescription
Number of chipsIn the chain, the number of chips was detected.
FrequencyFrequency setting for ASIC.
Real HashrateThe hashrate of each hash board in real time (GH/s).
Inlet Temp(Degrees Celsius) Inlet temperature
Outlet Tempoutlet temperature in degrees Celsius.
Chip stateOne of the following statuses will appear: · The Green Icon – indicates normal · The Red Icon– indicates abnormal

6. Bitmain Antminer E9 Environmental Requirements

Please run your server in accordance with the following requirements

6.1 Basic Environmental Requirements:

  1. Climatic Conditions:
DescriptionRequirement
Operating Temperature0-40℃
Operating Humidity10-90%RH (non-condensing)
Storage Temperature-20-70℃
Storage Humidity5-95%RH(non-condensing)
Altitude<2000m
  1. Site Requirements of the Server Running Room:
Please keep the server running room away from industrial pollution sources:
Distances should be greater than 5km from sources of heavy pollution like coal mines and smelters.
The separation should be greater than 3.7 km for moderately polluting sources like the chemical, rubber, and electroplating industries.
The separation should be greater than 2 km for light pollution sources like food and leather processing plants.
The site should, if possible, be chosen with the pollution source’s perennial upwind direction.
Do not set your location to be within 3.7 kilometers of the salt lake or the sea. If this cannot be avoided, it should be constructed with air conditioning and as little leakage as possible.
  2. Electromagnetic Environmental Conditions:
Please keep transformers, high-voltage cables, transmission lines, and high-current equipment far from your site. For instance, there shouldn’t be any high-power AC transformers (>10KA) within 20 meters or high-voltage power lines within 50 meters. Please keep your site far from high-power radio transmitters; for instance, there should be no high-power radio transmitters (>1500W) within 100 meters.

6.2 Other Environmental Requirements:

  1. Dust that is explosive, conductive, magnetically conductive, or corrosive is not permitted in the server room. The requirements of mechanical active substances are shown below:
    1. Requirements of Mechanical Active Substances
Mechanical Active SubstanceRequirement
Sand<= 30mg/m3
Dust (suspended)<= 0.2mg/m3
Dust (deposited)<=1.5mg/m2h
  1. Requirements of Corrosive Gas
Corrosive GasUnitConcentration
H2Sppb< 3
SO2ppb< 10
Cl2ppb< 1
NO2ppb< 50
HFppb< 1
NH3ppb< 500
O3ppb< 2

Note: ppb (part per billion) refers to the unit of concentration,1ppb stands for the volume ratio of part per billion.
